Santa Catarina Palopo

At 1585 Meters above sea level, located 6km from Panajachel on the North East side of the lake, this village of 1000 inhabitants, 98% of which are Kaqchiquel, is a great place to invest. Women still wear their traditional dress and cook tortillas on traditional fire pits. Few foreigners live here, mostly deeply rooted Guatemalan families occupying the waterfront. On the road leading to the village we call "Sunset Road" there are still plenty of good places to invest either in existing houses or land to build. One of the areas of greatest appreciation aroung Lake Atitlan, and always beautiful views of the volcanoes and sunsets.
